Description: Emergencies and natural disasters come in all different types, sizes and at unexpected times.  How prepared are you for the things that you have no control of?  Whether you are attending a meeting or conference, on your way to work, or at home with family members, do you know what to do?  Who do you turn to and what resources are available?  If you are a meeting or conference chair, have you done a site visit and discussed how the hotel or facility handles an emergency?  Are the staff ready to assist you and your attendees? How can planners and suppliers work together?

These are all good practical questions.  Come to this interactive session and learn ways to prepare yourself, your meeting/conference attendees, and family to have a successful recovery if a situation arises. We will identify different types and sizes of unexpected emergencies and natural disasters, learn how to prepare and plan for these, and identify available resources.
