Description: If you’re feeling overwhelmed, over-scheduled, and over-stressed, now is a good time to save your health and what’s left of your sanity. Join humor and stress management expert Leigh Anne Jasheway for an informative and funny presentation on why we all need more laughter and play in our lives. You’ll learn how lightening up can boost your creativity, reduce tension-related aches and pains, help you be more receptive to the ideas of others, and get you through your day without screaming into a pillow.
Speaker: Leigh Anne Jasheway, MPH

Bio: Leigh Anne is a stress management and humor expert, comedy writer, stand-up for masters of public health or mistress of public humor. In lieu of actually getting a real job, she consults with organizations (and disorganizations) on how to use humor to manage stress, change, and conflict, and boost creativity, teamwork and morale. My mission, if I decide to accept it, is to help the world become healthier and more sane through laughter.

In 2003, she won the Erma Bombeck Award for Humor Writing. Leigh Anne has 21 published books and herwork has appeared in more than a dozen anthologies, including the Chicken Soup series and Marlo Thomas’ The Right Words at the Right Time 2. For seven years, she was a regular humor and inspiration writer for Family Circle, and for nine years, she wrote a regular humor column for the Comic News. These days she is the humor columnist for Weekend in the Register-Guard.
