As government meeting professionals having the lodging per diem is a must. But why don't some hotels offer per diem lodging and why is per diem "not available" at certain times?

 

Why does my sales manager sometimes have to check with "the revenue manager?" Why can't hotels offer per diem all the time. In previous years hotels have offered me lower than per diem for my business so what has changed?

 

Understanding how hotels operate and run the business will help make you more efficient in your planning and help you secure rooms at per diem for your meetings.
