Do you know what to do in the event of an emergency? Who do you call, where do you send attendees?

Meeting prepared is not just about making sure exits are clear of obstructions, attendees being able to move through aisles freely without trip and fall hazards, and accommodating attendees with special needs.  Meeting prepared is having a contingency plan in place in the event of an emergency. Failure to be prepared can lead to liability.

Preparation pays.  Attendees will learn to:

  • Think and act more critically about meeting and event contingency planning.
  • Determine how to work together as planners and suppliers to provide necessary resources to anticipate and manage contingencies.
  • Prioritize actions to be taken immediately to protect people, places, and things.

This program will review the steps to take prior to an event so that in the event of an emergency, planners and suppliers have an action plan in place.

Presenters: John Zakariassen, CIS Senior Risk Management Consultant and David Nelson, CIS Public Safety Manager
